Getting creative with journal writing

Would you like to explore new topics and reflections in your writing? Whether you're pursuing personal growth or development in a specific area, journal prompts are beneficial.

Prompts can be really useful especially if you’d like to start journaling but don’t know where to start. Or maybe you’re getting bored of always writing the same things and want a change.

Here are some thought-provoking journal prompts for change:

1. What changes have I gone through in the last year, and how have they shaped me?

2. How has your life become more aligned because of the change?

3. What did the transition teach you about life and yourself?

4. How do I typically respond to change—resistance, excitement, fear?

5. What is one change I’m afraid to make, and why?

6. When have I embraced change and seen positive results?

7. Envision your life as though the change/transition has already happened. Describe what your day would look like after the change.

7. Describe how you would feel after the change.

8. What does “growth” mean to you right now?

9. What does letting go look like in your current situation?

10. Take a step back, is there a change in your life unfolding right now that you may not even be aware of?
