What’s on: December 2022

There are lots of exciting activities coming up in our writing for wellbeing community this month, from live events and book of the month titles to writing prompts and four-week courses.

Live Events

Live Zoom talks and writing workshops with authors and wellbeing experts. We have no live events in December, however we do have two in January!

    • Wednesday 11 January @ 7:30PM
      Writing for Resilience with Charmaine Pollard
      Charmaine Pollard is the author of Writing for Resilience, a workbook designed to improve your resilience and well-being through poetry and self-reflective writing. This new year she will guide us through a 90-minute intention building workshop which is open to everyone, in a super supportive environment.

Explore writing for wellbeing with a friendly bunch of fellow writers on our four-week courses. We have several starting this month – here’s just a few of them:

    • 7-day Mindfulness Challenge (from Monday 5 December @ 7:00am onwards)
      Join us for a 7 day online mindfulness challenge. Includes a short daily meditation practice and a small written task to bring about a deeper understanding of self awareness and a greater appreciation of you!(Available from 7am, but there’s no particular time you need to be online – you can start at a time that suits you.)
    • Building Resilience – 4 week course starts (from Monday 5 December @ 9:00AM)
      Boost your resilience to this ever changing world during this 4 week course. Gain the tools and knowledge to help work through the storms of life that sometimes take us by surprise!
    • Navigating Change – 4 week course starts (from Monday 19 December @ 9:00AM)
      Change is something that is certain but how we respond to it can really free us from worry. Explore this four week course and allow it to help you change your view of change!
      • And plenty more!

Community Connection

Join our weekly writing groups and mindfulness challenges. Includes a short daily meditation practice and written assignment each day.

    • Just Write Together (every Tuesday @ 10.45AM)
      Join Claire for a morning of mindful writing – a dedicated time in your calendar that you can look forward to and immerse yourself in writing.

Monthly prompts to kickstart your writing, with space to share work and chat with other writers.

    • December prompt: Reflect on the Year
      Ready to reset for next year? It’s the final month of 2022! As this chapter closes another is ready to open so why not use our question prompts as a way to reflect. Grab your WriteWell digital journal and set aside sometime for this heart warming exercise. Move into the new year with a fresh mindset.
